DEAR PARENTS,

We are so grateful for the trust and confidence you are placing in our ministry to your child(ren). The camp takes the safety, both physical and spiritual, of each camper very seriously and understands the weight of caring for a group of young people for a week. Our counselors and staff are carefully chosen through a detailed application process. We have a policy that no staff member is ever to be alone with a camper. The PBC staff are ready to assist you and ensure that your child(ren) have a fun and safe week. Below you can find more information about registering, preparing for, and enjoying a memorable week at Pioneer Bible Camp!

Sincerely,
The Pioneer Bible Camp Staff

PLEASE READ: NEW PRICING

In order to make camp available to everyone despite the rising cost to run camp, PBC is offering the three pricing options below. Families can choose their pricing tier based on God's direction.

Note: Each camper will receive the same excellent care and experience regardless of the tier chosen. These pricing tiers simply give you the opportunity to help PBC keep its doors open amid rising expenses.

Registration pricing increases $15 after April 15th

New to Pioneer Bible Camp?

We’d love to help you and your camper feel ready for a memorable, life-changing week at Pioneer Bible Camp! Below are the answers to the most common questions we get from parents. If you have further questions or would like to set up a time to tour camp with your child, please contact Anna at (801) 893-8121 or pbcutah@gmail.com.

Registration Info

Roommate Request Policy

While we do try to accommodate as many roommate requests as possible, we can only put two campers who know each other in the same cabin. Additionally, we can only do this when both campers are the same grade or one grade apart and when both campers request each other on the registration form. Sorry, but we are limited to one request per camper and we are unable to process requests at check-in. We want to do what is best for the whole cabin, so we normally cannot accommodate requests of three friends to be together. We do not want only one camper to not know anyone in his/her cabin.

Dress Policy

Our goal in developing dress policies is to be both modest and practical. However, dress guidelines can often be a source of tension. Please understand that Pioneer Bible Camp is committed to protecting the innocence of your child while they are in our care. With this in mind, we will ask campers who are wearing articles of clothing not consistent with Pioneer Bible Camp’s dress policy to change. We appreciate your sensitivity to this subject matter, as it is our goal to create an impactful, unforgettable camp environment that is free from distractions.

  • No short shorts -we ask that all shorts come to the camper’s fingertips when standing

  • No short or low tops

  • No tight-fitting clothing (including leggings)

  • No tank tops or spaghetti straps

  • No clothes with offensive advertising or wording

  • One-piece swimsuits (or equivalent) for girls with solid cover-up for transportation to lake

*At the beginning of the week, we will ask the campers if they have packed any of these items. If they have, we will gather the items and store them in a safe place during the week. The items will be returned to them at the end of the week.

Spending Money

How it works

You can either add spending money online during registration or bring money (cash or check preferred) to check-in. We collect the money and put the balance in your camper’s tab, which they can spend throughout the week. We collect all money so it doesn’t get lost or stolen. Any unspent money will be refunded on the last day of camp. We take an offering for our guest speakers each Tuesday as a thank-you. If parents or campers want to give to the speaker offering, it can either be designated online or the camper can indicate how much they want to give during our offering time.

Prices

Our General Store is open once a day. We also have a milkshake shop that we open up a few days during Teen and Jr. High weeks. The following are sample prices of the items we sell:

  • $0.50-2 -drinks, snacks

  • $1-5 -flashlights, magnets, PBC souvenirs, milkshakes

  • $8-15 -t-shirts, stuffed animals, water bottles, mugs

  • $15-25 -long sleeved shirts, hoodies

When You Arrive

How check-in works:

When you arrive at camp, PBC staff will direct you to a place to park in our field. Bring all luggage to the luggage tent and head up to the check-in tent. Once checked in, you can say goodbye from there or go with your child to meet their counselor. You are also welcome to go with your child to see their cabin. We will provide transportation up to camp and back to the parking lot.

Please bring all medications and spending money with you to the check-in tent!

DURING THE WEEK

Contacting Campers

In order to accomplish our vision of creating a distraction-free environment where campers can hear from God’s Word, campers will not have access to phones unless there is an emergency. You can contact our office at (801) 689-6101 if you need to contact your camper. Please do not plan a visit to camp during the week. If a camper leaves something at home, please contact our office and we can arrange a way to deliver the item to your child. If we find out that your child is homesick and cannot get that under control, we will contact you and let you make the call on how we handle the situation. We don’t want any campers to feel “stuck” at camp.

Camper Mail

You can send mail to your camper during their week at camp. There are three ways you can get them mail:

  1. Drop off mail at check-in

  2. Mail a letter by Monday afternoon to:

    Pioneer Bible Camp
    3165 E 3350 N
    Liberty, UT 84310

  3. Email pbcutah@gmail.com with your camper’s name in the subject line.

We will deliver emails and letters once a day. Please note that mail received after 5pm will probably not make it into that day’s mail delivery. Only mail that is in an envelope will be included in the “mail call” (where campers sing or do something silly to receive it). Please note that camper mail is intended for parents to be able to contact their children. We scan the emails to make sure they are appropriate and reserve the right to not deliver inappropriate or one-line emails.

Lodging

Our 14 camper cabins are rustic with no electricity. We have separate boy and girl cabin areas each with a central shower house. The cabins hold 4 bunkbeds each. Please pack your own bedding and linens.

Meals

We believe that food is a vital part of the camping experience. Our cooks work hard to provide meals that are delicious and nutritious with plenty of variety.

Dietary Restrictions & Allergies

If you indicate that your camper has dietary needs, we will send you an email before their week of camp to let you know how we handle special dietary needs. We typically plan to provide alternatives for the common dietary needs that campers have. We will try to ensure that our menus are accommodating and have options for gluten-free, vegetarian, and dairy-free campers. We do our best to avoid cross-contact of allergen foods, however we cannot guarantee it.

Please note, we are a nut (peanuts and tree nuts) free camp.
