On Friday afternoon, we hope you and your love enjoy one (or several) of the many activities our little valley has to offer! Interested in going for a stroll and taking in the beautiful mountain views? Craving something sweet? Have some cash begging to be spent on a souvenir? Maybe you just want to take a long drive. Check out our favorite date activities below!
Pineview Reservior
In the mood for a lakeside stroll with stunning mountain views? The half-mile North Arm Trail is a great place to watch the wildlife that inhabit the marshes around the reservoir. Or for a longer walk, park at the Middle Inlet lot or the Valley Market, where you can access the paved walking path. The path is a 16-mile loop, so take in as much of it as you would like before heading back to the parking area. Find directions by following the links above.
North Fork Park
North Fork Park offers several different walking trails that display some of the best views in our valley. Try one of our favorites--the Waterfall Trail or Trail 365. Visit here for more information.
Eats of Eden
This quirky bistro just down the road from PBC offers a broad selection on their menu--but if you want our recommendation, we suggest you take a look at those desserts.
Mad Moose Cafe
Visit Mad Moose Cafe for the yummiest sandwiches in the valley and delicious in-house roasted coffee.
First Lift
How does an afternoon sipping coffee in a Hallmark movie sound? (Seriously. They filmed a Hallmark movie here.) First Lift offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with a view of charming Huntsville Square.
Cannery Creamery
If you’ve got ice cream on your mind, take a quick trip into Ogden to visit Cannery Creamery for some of the best ice cream in the area.
simply Eden
Most of the shops in the valley proudly display locally made products. Make sure to drop into Simply Eden to browse their broad range of goat milk-based skincare products.
Emie James
You know how you’ve been saying that wall in your house really needs a one-of-a-kind piece of decor? We’re sure you’ll find what you’re looking for at Emie James. Grab a cookie and a soda to enjoy while you shop!
Trappers Loop
If your perfect idea of a romantic date is a long drive, we have a good one for you. Highway 167 winds up the mountains toward Snowbasin Resort. Stop in to browse Snowbasin’s gift shop; then head down Highway 226 for another perspective of the mountains before winding back down to the bottom of the valley. Find directions here.
Want to have your date at camp? You’re welcome to play some board games, throw a Frisbee, take a walk, or just relax in your cabin.
You can also take some Frisbees or balls to one of our local parks (just as long as you bring them back!): Liberty Park or Eden Park
